Design for The Web

Do you dive deep into both design and development?
In DFTW, yes — it’s one of the defining things about that program. Design and development aren’t two different tracks there; they’re two sides of the same work, and neither makes real sense without the other. Designers who can’t build learn a narrow version of design; developers who can’t design build things that don’t work for the people using them. DFTW treats both as one practice. Other programs may focus on one side or the other — check the program description.

Is this program the right fit for me?
If you’re looking for a shortcut, a certificate to list on LinkedIn, or a twelve-week promise of a job — probably not. If you’re genuinely curious about design and the web, willing to put in real work, and interested in building skills that last rather than chasing the trend of the month — this could be a great fit. Still not sure? Talk to us. We’d rather have a ten-minute conversation than enroll you in something that isn’t right. We’re also fine telling you “not us, try this other thing” if that’s the honest answer.

What kind of career path does DFTW apply to?
It’s not about training for a specific job. DFTW gives you design and problem-solving tools that apply across many fields—like digital product design, web development, or something completely different. It’s up to you to use what you’ve learned to carve your own direction.
