Being “smart” isn’t anywhere near being personable – or even interesting. Even that one weird silent guy in the corner has some mystique that’s likable.

Being “likable” is one thing. But would someone you know want to hire you? Are you a good problems solver? Are you an extra accomplished programmer? Or do they just know – that / whatever it is – you’ll rise to the occasion and try your best and bring something needed to the team?
