That "boot camp" is probably lying to you

At some point, things changed. There used to be real “boot camp” style schools where you worked really hard all day every day (like in a boot camp) to see if you could get everything together and break into a new career.
If you’re thinking about a boot camp, you’d do well to check in on the new reality.
We have met up with hundreds of boot camp grads and looked at their workflow, soft skills, and portfolio. Many of them are looking for work a year later. But that isn’t to say that some of the schools aren’t doing a good job. It usually comes down to the instructor that you get assigned (if you get one). Most traditional schools are also full of it – so, it’s just about getting clear about the deal you are making.
