Core code updates under way: Pardon any rough edges.

Introduction

Things have been sketchy and weird for a long time. You could still get something out of the service (if you could log in and actually get to your meeting) – but now it’s gone too far.

We’d suggest you just get out of there before they record all your sessions and have their AI notetaker harvest your words – and sell them without telling you.

ADPList login form

ADPList has always been really buggy. Lately, signing in barely works. You sometimes have to type in your password and then click out of the password input- and then back in and the submit button will then trigger.

Account

Default ADPList account page with arrow pointing to avatar (which opens the account menu)

The account area is in your user avatar.

Settings

Note: instead of deleting it – – if you wanted, you could just change your profile info to let everyone know you’ve left and where to find you and that this place is morally bankrupt and evil… but it’s probably best to just delete it and move on so they don’t have access to your numbers and things.

Login and Security page

Confirm deletion

Deletion confirmation pop up

Done

Login screen showing that now if you try and log in, it wont recognize your account.

Done!

There’s no telling what they’ll do with your data, but we’re hoping the whole thing is built as badly as we guess – and so, it’s actually all just deleted. There wasn’t even a “sorry to see you go” type of page.

So, what can we do instead?

Well, it really is a shame because something like ADPList could have (and did) do a great service to so many people.

But we suggest you get more involved in smaller communities. That might be hard if you don’t live in a bigger city – but YOU can start the meetup. Being human and talking to each other (in a world where we now have indistinguishable AI avatars) – is more important than ever. We could totally just build another project like ADPList that was run properly without exploiting the volunteers (it’s not that complicated;)
