CSS Reset

Because the browser imposes some default visual styles on an HTML document (and various other reasons) a CSS “reset” is often applied. Essentially it is a set of CSS rules that seek to “remove” or “unset” that styling. Sometimes this is with an opinion – and sometimes it strips everything possible. They also often take into account browser inconsistencies and try to round them out.
