How will I know if I'm progressing?

You’ll know because you’ll notice things you couldn’t see a month ago. The test isn’t “am I finishing workshops on time” — it’s whether the way you approach problems has actually changed. Can you look at a design and see the structural decisions? Can you read someone else’s code and understand what they were doing? Can you get unstuck faster than you used to? Those are the real signals. You’ll also get feedback throughout, and as projects get more complex, you’ll see your own work improving in ways that are hard to fake.
